A convention town

Set up in 1986, the Lyon Convention Bureau is a function of the Lyon Tourist Office and aims to promote Lyon and its region through its organizers of events and companies involved in business tourism. It provides information and advice for professional decision-makers on the extensive facilities offered by Lyon. It recommends suppliers, suggests suitable venues and helps organizers with their choice between specially-designed or turnkey events. It helps with event planning, organizes visits to the different venues, supervises the implementation of technical or leisure programs, and, where requested, participates in the definition of budgets. The Lyon Convention Bureau and its partners offer a complete range of made-to-measure services, so as to enable participants to take full advantage of their stay in Lyon, with organization standards never falling short of excellence.

The rich fairs of yesteryear are now echoed by the tradeshows and conventions hosted by the city of Lyon. Lyon provides a unique structure to receive and inform clients and offers well-adapted facilities for professional meetings of all types (symposiums, seminars, trade shows).

The new Lyon Convention Center at Cité Internationale, the Eurexpo site and Tony Garnier Hall are the main venues for large-scale events.
