Since 1982, the Institut Lumière has had its home in the heart of Monplaisir, that historical area of Lyon where the Lumière brothers invented the Cinématographe and where, in 1895, they shot the first film in the history of the cinema : "Sortie d'Usine".

"numeridanse.tv" is supported by the Maison de la Danse in association with the Centre national de la danse, two institutions involved in the broadcast process, and in particular aimed at the world of education.
The museum is located netx to an exceptional site in the heart of Lugdunum. Facing the rising sun and dominating the confluence of the Rhône and the Saône, with a view extending to the Alps, this remarkable site was inaugurated shortly after the city's official foundation, in 43 BC. The large theatre built around 15 BC was one of the oldest in Gaul.
Vélo'v - rent a bike!
In Lyon, you can hire a bicycle at any Vélo'v station, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Provided you are aged 14 or over, all you need is a long-term subscription or a short-term ticket. Once you have completed your journey, simply return the bike to any vélo'v station.
TCL - Public Transportation
Use the metros, funiculars, trams and buses to get from one point to another in the city in the minimum amount of time to discover the maximum number of attractions. The means of transport of the TCL network are complementary. A single ticket enables you to go from metro to bus, tram or funicular as many times as you like during one hour.
